Kołaczky Krushers
Identity System & Branding Guidelines
Kołaczky Krushers is a fictional professional pastry-baking sports team inspired by the art of family baking around the holidays. Compiled in a brand identity system, the Krushers need branding and company documents, including a primary logo, secondary logo, business card, envelope, letterhead, and team uniform.
A Kołaczky is a Polish cookie pastry folded over a variety of fillings, giving it a signature look with jelly peeking out. Many Polish families make these by hand, requiring a rolling pin to roll out the dough. Thus, the Krushers’ logo takes advantage of these types of imagery using illustration. Subtle
gradients give the dough a bit of dimension, reflecting the variation in color of the dough in real life. The secondary logo shows the team’s mascot in all his glory, King Krusher, with his very own crown and staff.
Primary colors in the logo are a red-raspberry color, reflecting the flavor of the jelly to contrast a peachy orange color to reflect the dough. The typeface Greycliff CF makes the Kołaczky Krushers’ name shine boldly and would certainly impress any crowd of bakers.
